Have you ever known you needed to do something ...something you had never done before? If you've had a relationship with Jesus for even a short time, you know you've experienced this very thing. The Lord will ask us to do something that never crossed our minds. He will put this idea in our thoughts and it will become like a heartfelt reminder until we just step out in faith with Him and do it.
This is where I am right now. Never did I envision I would have a website. Never did I imagine I would create a website myself that would share my writings, poetry and offer an option to leave a prayer request for me to pray with strangers ...and friends alike. Well, here I am …obeying my Heavenly Father and doing all of the above.
Human beings have a commonality - no matter where we grew up, who we are or what dreams we have.
We are all human.
My family and I happen to have had the privilege of not only being human but actually living HUMAN …since it is our name! I always knew the Lord would have me do something creative and ministering with this amazing and beautiful name - for His glory. AND …what a fun name it has been to carry and grow up with. I will share more of the blast it has been as you experience this adventure with me.
I will learn as I go …I know He will teach me. Thank you for your prayers and patience with me as I toddle along as a newbie in this web arena. I am excited to share what the Lord is instructing me to in this internet excursion with each one of you.
A favorite Scripture of mine and very much referenced through my life is:
Proverbs 3:5, 6 -
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.
So, here I am. I find myself reaching for it even now …as I step out in faith …once again.

Who Is Tammie Human Burgin?
Tammie Human Burgin is a writer –blessed to grow up in a Christian home –honored to be the granddaughter of a Pastor. She does not take for granted hearing the Name of Jesus before she even took her first breath.
SHE KNOWS –Luke 12:48 …to whom much is given much is required.
Her desire to extend the love, the knowledge, the Truth of Jesus is her mission –her ministry –for such a time as this.
The love and priority she has for her Savior, husband –Scott, sons –Tyler and Zachary and daughter-in-love –Katie, is the definition of who she is and what drives her.
She continues to minister in writing and in prayer what the Lord has done, who He is to her and how someone can know Jesus as their personal Savior.
It is her heart to share the love of God …to one …to all …FOR HIS GLORY!
Jeremiah 9:10 NIV
I will weep and wail for the mountains
and take up a lament concerning the wilderness grasslands.
They are desolate and untraveled,
and the lowing of cattle is not heard.
The birds have all fled
and the animals are gone.
Our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection- Jeremiah, A Major Prophet, had a tremendous call of God on his life. He was assigned to give God’s chosen people warnings. These intense messages weighed extremely heavy on Jeremiah. As in our scripture reference, Jeremiah 9:10, he wept and wailed. He lamented for the things that were to come upon the Children of Israel.
(Reference: Jeremiah 9:3-16)
If they did not change their ways, God would allow destruction to come.
(Reference: Jeremiah 9:17-22)
This is a great example of how God’s plans are revealed in our lives. Jeremiah had an intimate relationship with Almighty God. Such a level of inseparability developed that he had conversations with the Lord. In one of those communications, God said to his friend, Jeremiah- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
God knows the plans He has for each of us just as He stated to Jeremiah. Additionally, every one of us can experience a walk with God that Jeremiah had. With this, we can also understand the plans God has for us. As we daily allow the Holy Spirit to lead us, study God’s Word, and diligently seek the Lord in prayer- He will reveal what He knows specifically for us. He does this when we listen for His still, small voice; read the Bible Study and devotions; and directs our steps with wisdom in both victories and trials.

It is a deep commitment with God to enjoy conversations with Him. It is a great faithfulness to seek the Lord daily. It is a tremendous blessing to receive God’s assignments. I pray you invest in each of these. You will understand the gift that God is to your life. As the Lord shows you the cal He has on you, it is imperative that you obey. Jesus will be glorified as you do.

Jeremiah
A Major Prophect
Jeremiah, Lamentations
Consider this …before you were …God knew you. He declares this to our first HUMAN of the Bible of 2026 in January- Jeremiah. Jeremiah is designated as a Major Prophet. In a conversation between God and this precious human- God states the following very important news.
Jeremiah 1:5 NIV
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
Yes, I said a conversation was had between God and this HUMAN of the Bible- Jeremiah. That is an intimate relationship, friend. A daily walk of seeking God and listening for His response results in dialogue. Here our amazing God shares that even before Jeremiah was created by the very hand of God- he was known by Him.
What a beautiful revelation this discussion provides for you and for me. We have been on God’s mind and in His heart before He systematically, deliberately, and creatively made each one of us. How these Scriptures deliver confirmation and declaration of this for us. Right now, let us be in awe of our amazing God.
Jeremiah carried a great message to God’s chosen people - the Children of Israel. He is known to as the weeping prophet for additional conversations with the Lord and what was shared with him. This is specifically found in Jeremiah 8:18-12:13.
God wanted His people to follow Him and obey Him. He raised up our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for January to be a Major Prophet. This was an assignment that brought anguish for the great man of God at times. Trying to communicate with the humans of God’s select and warning them of things to come brought with it a heavy heart-challenge. Yet …Jeremiah obeyed God.

I KNEW YOU …words God is saying to you this very day, dear Reader. He is no respecter of persons. Acts 10:34 states that He has no favorites. He loves each one of His creation just the same. God so loved the world, that He gave! (John 3:16)
I pray you ponder the words- I KNEW YOU. God knew you. He knows you. Jesus died and rose again just for you. My prayer is that you- in turn- receive this and get to know Him. Oh, my friend- know this- Jesus loves you so!
