Human Living Ministry WELCOME!

Human Living Ministry ... originated from

"Living Human" all of my life!  Additionally, it was birthed through years of writing, but more importantly - years of prayer.

I desire to gently walk across someone's heart and step away having left a positive, life-changing impact with the writing and poetry God provides through me for His glory.

  • May the hurting know His love

  • May the lonely know His presence

  • May the lost know His salvation and friendship

  • May the damaged know His reconstruction

  • May the fallen know His recovery

  • May the rejected know they are welcomed by Him

  • May all receive His forgiveness with repentance and recognize they are a part of ...

       The Family of God

For the someone who is interested in knowing Jesus - I am here to share how you can.

For the someone who needs prayer - this is a place to leave a prayer request and I will pray.

For the someone who needs an encouraging read - you will find it here.

My writings are all for the glory of Jesus Christ - my Savior and Lord.

Have you ever known you needed to do something ...something you had never done before? If you've had a relationship with Jesus for even a short time, you know you've experienced this very thing. The Lord will ask us to do something that never crossed our minds. He will put this idea in our thoughts and it will become like a heartfelt reminder until we just step out in faith with Him and do it.

This is where I am right now.  Never did I envision I would have a website. Never did I imagine I would create a website myself that would share my writings, poetry and offer an option to leave a prayer request for me to pray with strangers ...and friends alike.  Well, here I am …obeying my Heavenly Father and doing all of the above.

Human beings have a commonality - no matter where we grew up, who we are or what dreams we have.

We are all human.

My family and I happen to have had the privilege of not only being human but actually living HUMAN …since it is our name!  I always knew the Lord would have me do something creative and ministering with this amazing and beautiful name - for His glory.  AND …what a fun name it has been to carry and grow up with. I will share more of the blast it has been as you experience this adventure with me.

I will learn as I go …I know He will teach me.  Thank you for your prayers and patience with me as I toddle along as a newbie in this web arena.  I am excited to share what the Lord is instructing me to in this internet excursion with each one of you.

A favorite Scripture of mine and very much referenced through my life is:

Proverbs 3:5, 6 -

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.

So, here I am.  I find myself reaching for it even now …as I step out in faith …once again.

Welcome, my human friends!  I look forward to this journey as it offers a place to be a unique part of the human family.

Let's gather together in this place of commonality ...as we all are ...living human./.

I will meet you here - at

The Faith
To Walk On Water

Water Splash

Our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for May is Peter.  We will see him in these verses.  Additionally, this passage of Scripture is filled with life lessons.

Matthew 14:22-33 KJV

22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

Jesus gave instructions to His disciples and they obeyed.  In the midst of obedience - a storm hit.  The disciples were tossed about in the middle of the storm. BUT GOD …they see Jesus.  He is performing a miracle by walking on the water toward them.  In spite of His presence, the disciples still feared.  Jesus revealed Himself to them, encouraged them and told them not to be afraid

Our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for the month of May responded to Jesus.  Peter declared if it truly was the Lord that He command him to come to Him - and he would do so by walking on the water, too.  Jesus answered and said, “Come!”  When He did, Peter stepped out of the boat and began walking on the water - for all to see.  When the winds blew and Peter looked away in fear, he  started to sink.  Peter cried out to Jesus to save him.  Suddenly, Jesus stretched forth His hand and rescued him.  Jesus asked Peter why he doubted - where was his faith?   They reached the ship, there was peace, and all aboard worshiped the Lord as the Son of God.

Friend, what is your story today?  Has Jesus given you instructions and you obeyed - yet, in your obedience you find yourself in the midst of a storm? Know this - Jesus is walking toward you.  It is He that you see.  When you ask Him to call you and you walk toward Him - should you be distracted with the winds and waves of life - simply pray to Him to rescue you.

HE WILL!  Jesus doesn’t want you to doubt - He wants to see your faith.  What is it that you need faith for this day - this week?

I tell you, dear Reader, I have seen miracles.  I have witnessed answers to prayers.  I have stepped out in obedience and watched the storms surround my family and me.  I have prayed that Jesus would rescue me from my doubts.  Friend - I can tell you that Jesus stretched forth His hand - reached out to me and met me where I was.  The answer didn’t always come when I wanted it to, but He has been in the midst, walking toward me and - yes - answered my prayers.  I have seen miracles even after sinking in my fears.

One thing that I have learned in my journey is that …EVEN IN THE IF’s AND WHEN’s …Jesus is still with you and me!

Let us pause and worship Jesus, the Son of God.  He is mighty to save and He loves us more than we can comprehend.

If you need prayer today for faith in Jesus - please do not hesitate to contact me.  I will pray with you.  You can email me at thumanburgin@gmail.com or visit my Prayer Request page.  There you can complete and submit a prayer request form.  I assure you - I know what it is to obey the instruction, then be consumed by a storm.  I will pray with you, friend.

Should you want to know Jesus as your personal Savior or need more information - again you can email me or see my Invitation and Prayer page.  Jesus is waiting to meet you and be Lord of your life.  I am here to help you, if you need anything.

We honor Mothers this week.  I pray you know how appreciated you are as a Mother.

Step out in faith this week, dear Reader, faith to walk on water.  Jesus is in your midst.  He will respond, He will rescue, He will reach out His hand toward you - you need only ask Him to bid you to come to Him.  He is here - waiting to receive you, my friend.  Give Him glory for who He is and what He has done.  Oh, He is worthy of all our praise!

Have a faith-filled week.  Hold tight to this promise, friend, Jesus loves you so!

Philip

Bible open.jpg

A Disciple of Jesus

John 1:45

The HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for the month of April is Philip - A Disciple of Jesus.

Philip was from Bethsaida - the same city as Peter and Andrew.  John recorded that Andrew had already met Jesus.  He brought his brother, Simon Peter, to meet Him. The following day Jesus went to Galilee.  There He found Philip.  When He did - Jesus reached out to Philip and said, “Follow Me!”  He did. This is where Philip became a Disciple of Jesus.

John 1:43-44 KJV

43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.

44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

The next thing Philip did is to go to his friend.  Philip met Jesus, accepted the invitation to follow Him, then wanted to share this with Nathaniel!  What a heart - both for the Message of Jesus and ensuring his friend knew the blessed Truth, as well.

John 1: 45 KJV

Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

We see that when a great crowd accompanied Jesus and the disciples near the Feast of Passover, Jesus relied on Philip to help Him with what was on hand to be able to get bread for all.  Philip’s response to Jesus was there was insufficient means to feed everyone.  Here, Philip’s character shows that he is sensible and pragmatic. There is not enough to care for all the people.

John 6:3-7 KJV

3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.

4 And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.

5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.

BUT JESUS …

The rest of the story is in John 6:8-14.  The boy with five loaves of bread and two fish in which Jesus performed a miracle multiplying them so much that there were twelve baskets filled.  What a wonderful blessing to see and for Jesus’s disciples to witness.

Philip said yes to Jesus’s invitation to follow Him.  He had no idea what miracles he would behold. He was unaware of the lives that would be changed.  He did not know what would come of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey when the

8 crowds spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.

9 And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.  (Matthew 21:8-9 KJV - what we know as Palm Sunday.)

He was not prepared to encounter THE CROSS - the death and resurrection of The One he committed to follow, he friended, he fellowship with.  He was not afraid to die for the cause of Christ.  According to my research - church history shows that Philip died as a martyr after being stoned to death.

There is not a lot more recorded about the disciple, Philip. However, what is documented gives us a rich understanding of his heart and his character.  Isn’t that what we want said about us, friend?  When the generations that follow read or listen about our story - don’t we hope they learn of our character and our heart?

Should you not know Jesus as your Savior and you want to or would like to know more - please see my Invitation and Prayer page

Please feel free to reach out to me at tburgin@sbcglobal.net with questions, comments, or even testimonies.

Can I pray with you?  If so, please complete and submit a Prayer Request form at my Prayer Request page.  I assure you, I will pray with you.

Philip - A Disciple of Jesus - our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for April - has so much to offer that we can glean from and apply to our own lives today.  I pray that you find this message valuable, informative, meaningful, and applicable for purpose to your life, friend.

This month we not only study the disciple, Philip, but we honor and celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ.  I pray you have a wonderful church to attend for this blessed occasion, but if you do not - let me encourage you to gather with those closest to you and honor His sacrifice for our sins together.  I recommend that you and those you gather with read The Word of Jesus’s story leading up to and including His death and resurrection (reference

Matthew 26:36-28:10), and discuss what this means to each of you.  In addition, you can partake in Holy Communion together.

Holy Communion is using small pieces of bread or crackers for each one of you in representation of His body and a small portion of grape juice for each one of you representing His blood.

The scripture reference is:

Matthew 26:26-28 KJV

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

This is a very powerful, serious, and precious time honoring the Lord.  It is a time of praise, appreciation, and gratitude for Jesus and His sacrifice on the Cross for our sins.  Everyone should take time to have a right heart before the Lord prior to participating in sacred Communion - whether at church or elsewhere.

I pray you are enriched by this month’s HUMAN of the Bible Reflection - Philip, A Disciple of Jesus.  Additionally, my prayer is for you and yours to have a wonderful Resurrection Day - rejoicing in our Savior, His death and resurrection for our sins, and His love.

Oh, Jesus loves you so.

Dear Reader, thank you for stopping by …I’m so glad you did.  You’re welcome to stop anytime. I will meet you here at HUMAN Living Ministry!
