"Living Human" all of my life! Additionally, it was birthed through years of writing, but more importantly - years of prayer.
I desire to gently walk across someone's heart and step away having left a positive, life-changing impact with the writing and poetry God provides through me for His glory.

Have you ever known you needed to do something ...something you had never done before? If you've had a relationship with Jesus for even a short time, you know you've experienced this very thing. The Lord will ask us to do something that never crossed our minds. He will put this idea in our thoughts and it will become like a heartfelt reminder until we just step out in faith with Him and do it.
This is where I am right now. Never did I envision I would have a website. Never did I imagine I would create a website myself that would share my writings, poetry and offer an option to leave a prayer request for me to pray with strangers ...and friends alike. Well, here I am …obeying my Heavenly Father and doing all of the above.
Human beings have a commonality - no matter where we grew up, who we are or what dreams we have.
We are all human.
My family and I happen to have had the privilege of not only being human but actually living HUMAN …since it is our name! I always knew the Lord would have me do something creative and ministering with this amazing and beautiful name - for His glory. AND …what a fun name it has been to carry and grow up with. I will share more of the blast it has been as you experience this adventure with me.
I will learn as I go …I know He will teach me. Thank you for your prayers and patience with me as I toddle along as a newbie in this web arena. I am excited to share what the Lord is instructing me to in this internet excursion with each one of you.
A favorite Scripture of mine and very much referenced through my life is:
Proverbs 3:5, 6 -
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.
So, here I am. I find myself reaching for it even now …as I step out in faith …once again.

Who Is Tammie Human Burgin?
Tammie Human Burgin is a writer –blessed to grow up in a Christian home –honored to be the granddaughter of a Pastor. She does not take for granted hearing the Name of Jesus before she even took her first breath.
SHE KNOWS –Luke 12:48 …to whom much is given much is required.
Her desire to extend the love, the knowledge, the Truth of Jesus is her mission –her ministry –for such a time as this.
The love and priority she has for her Savior, husband –Scott, sons –Tyler and Zachary and daughter-in-love –Katie, is the definition of who she is and what drives her.
She continues to minister in writing and in prayer what the Lord has done, who He is to her and how someone can know Jesus as their personal Savior.
It is her heart to share the love of God …to one …to all …FOR HIS GLORY!
This week we reflect on the year and all God has done. We take time to look back and consider what needs to change moving forward. We pause and pray for the perfect will of God to be welcomed in every detail of those we love and our own lives.
Gratitude ensues for God and who He is to us. Thankfulness fills us for what is to come. We wrap up this year and hopefully these last few days we finish strong. Looking to the next year, our hope and trust are in God. Friend, in the new year- He wants to make all things new!

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
My prayer for you as 2025 is “in the books” this week is that you are at peace with it, with yourself, and with God. My prayer for you is that you begin 2026 with a fresh perspective, a bold vision, and wise intentions. My prayer for you is that you experience a new joy, an energized laugh, and an abundance of cheer.
May 2026 offer a rejuvenation you have needed spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and relationally.

Our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for this last month of 2025, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote in Matthew 24-26 (NIV),
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
25 For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.
26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
May it be that you receive the salvation Jesus has for you to know Him as Savior and Lord. May you know what it is to deny or surrender yourself to God and His will for you- all for His glory. May God make all things new for you, and that you know what it is to exchange gaining the whole world for your soul.
Dear Reader, I pray a very blessed and Happy 2026 for you and that you continue to know how much Jesus loves you so!

A Disciple of Jesus
Matthew 9:9
Our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for December is Matthew- A Disciple of Jesus.
Matthew was a publican or “tax collector” for a living before becoming a disciple of Jesus. Prior to knowing Jesus, our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection was known as Levi. This reference to Levi can be found in both Mark and Luke.
(Mark 2:14 and Luke 5:17)
Mark 2:14 KJV
And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
Matthew records the same description of Jesus calling him to follow Him.
Matthew 9:9 KJV
And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
This lets us know Mark was referencing Matthew as Levi. Once Levi (Matthew) encountered Jesus, his name was changed to Matthew.
We all have a past. Some want to leave the past behind. Others cannot let go. Occasionally, humans are forced to relive their long ago’s. This can be due to people that want to keep reminding them of choices made.
Memories and treasured experiences are wonderful to reflect on with special people in your life. Traditions and nostalgia are good for your soul and for your family.
However, those things that others use to haunt you; the decisions the enemy tries to discourage you with; even the behaviors your own self cannot let you forgive- are exactly what Jesus commands us to forget through Paul’s writings.
Philippians 3:13-14 NIV
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Forget! Forget wrong relationships. Forget disappointed experiences. Forget failed expectations. Forget …what was! Jesus has so much more than you can imagine in the now and what is to come.

Each one of our journeys includes one or more what was occurrences that we need to forget and leave with the Lord. Dear Reader, I pray you lean into the Lord and allow Him to meet you, do a work in you, and help you move forward from the what was seasons of your life, change your name and make all things new. Jesus came to this earth as a babe to call those who are sick so they will know Him and be healed. Almighty God has so much for you today as you accept Him and His call to follow Him.
Friend, go with the Lord in this moment and enjoy His presence, blessings, forgiveness, freedom, and ways for you in this time of your life. My prayer is that you live refreshed in your daily relationship with the Lord.
