Human Living Ministry WELCOME!

Human Living Ministry ... originated from

"Living Human" all of my life!  Additionally, it was birthed through years of writing, but more importantly - years of prayer.

I desire to gently walk across someone's heart and step away having left a positive, life-changing impact with the writing and poetry God provides through me for His glory.

  • May the hurting know His love

  • May the lonely know His presence

  • May the lost know His salvation and friendship

  • May the damaged know His reconstruction

  • May the fallen know His recovery

  • May the rejected know they are welcomed by Him

  • May all receive His forgiveness with repentance and recognize they are a part of ...

       The Family of God

For the someone who is interested in knowing Jesus - I am here to share how you can.

Have you ever known you needed to do something ...something you had never done before? If you've had a relationship with Jesus for even a short time, you know you've experienced this very thing. The Lord will ask us to do something that never crossed our minds. He will put this idea in our thoughts and it will become like a heartfelt reminder until we just step out in faith with Him and do it.

This is where I am right now.  Never did I envision I would have a website. Never did I imagine I would create a website myself that would share my writings, poetry and offer an option to leave a prayer request for me to pray with strangers ...and friends alike.  Well, here I am …obeying my Heavenly Father and doing all of the above.

Human beings have a commonality - no matter where we grew up, who we are or what dreams we have.

We are all human.

My family and I happen to have had the privilege of not only being human but actually living HUMAN …since it is our name!  I always knew the Lord would have me do something creative and ministering with this amazing and beautiful name - for His glory.  AND …what a fun name it has been to carry and grow up with. I will share more of the blast it has been as you experience this adventure with me.

I will learn as I go …I know He will teach me.  Thank you for your prayers and patience with me as I toddle along as a newbie in this web arena.  I am excited to share what the Lord is instructing me to in this internet excursion with each one of you.

A favorite Scripture of mine and very much referenced through my life is:

Proverbs 3:5, 6 -

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.

So, here I am.  I find myself reaching for it even now …as I step out in faith …once again.

Welcome, my human friends!  I look forward to this journey as it offers a place to be a unique part of the human family.

Let's gather together in this place of commonality ...as we all are ...living human./.

I will meet you here - at

Matthew 4:18-20 KJV

18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

When Jesus saw Andrew and his brother, Peter, He called to them to follow Him.  Further still, He stated that if they did- He would make them fishers of men.

The HUMAN of the Bible for October. Andrew- A Disciple of Jesus- introduced his brother, Peter, to Jesus.  We discovered that Andrew and Peter were the first to be called by Jesus to be His disciples.  They were both close friends to Jesus.  Peter becomes a larger-than-life figure for the Kingdom of God.  In Matthew 16:18 Jesus tells Peter,

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Andrew’s story is somewhat different. He was a Fisher of Men- absolutely. Yet, it was not quite as documented as was his brother’s.  Nonetheless, he obeyed Jesus as a Fisher of Men. Andrew’s ministry for Jesus and His Message was greatly effective. (Reference: John 12:20-22)

Jesus calls you to be a fisher of men, as well.  I welcome you to contact me at thumanburgin@gmail, If you have questions.

He calls you friend.  Should you want more information- please see my Invitation and Prayer page.

I am glad to pray with you.  My Prayer Request page has a Prayer Request form that you can complete and submit.

When you introduce someone to Jesus, you never know what He will do in their lives.

I knew a minister/evangelist long ago who had many minister friends.  There were two specific minister friends I want to spotlight.

This minister/evangelist and the first minister friend did life together.  Their families had dinner together and their children were best friends.  This minister/evangelist and the first minister encouraged one another in the Lord and prayed for one another as they ministered to others.  They were strong influences in the Lord for each other.

This minister/evangelist and the second minister met while this minister and his wife were evangelizing in Texas.  The two men became great friends.  The second minister had a situation that he asked this minister/evangelist  to pray with him about.  This minister/evangelist did pray with him and before long, the Lord answered this second minister’s request.

This minister/evangelist and his wife that I knew returned to their respective home.  They pastored a church for many years.  As they pastored their local church, the two ministers this minister/evangelist had enjoyed friendship with, doing life with, trusting God with and praying with- saw their lives take different directions.  The Lord took the ministries of the two minister friends  and made them worldwide ministries.  The minister/evangelist that I knew had been a fisher of men as the Lord asked him to be and thus carried on with the call on his life to do just that where he was directed.

Sometimes God uses us to be fishers of men with humans that He chooses to take in a more visible role for His glory.  It isn’t that they are more important or we are less significant- it is the perfect will and plan of God to work all for good in our lives and to share His Message.

Do not feel insignificant- only know the Lord is using you in an amazing way all for His glory.  It might be that you won’t see results until you are with Jesus in eternity.  Remember, you might not be seen by man but God sees you!  He knows your heart, your surrender, your willingness, and your love for Him.

I encourage you as our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for this month as well as the HUMAN minister/evangelist that I knew- whatever God has called you to do- continue to obey Him.  It does not matter what man deems as special or successful.  It only matters that Jesus is getting all the glory!

Galatians 1:10 NIV

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

As the Lord shows you His plans for you- whether quiet and behind the scenes or public and known, obey His call for you.   Don’t be prideful. Proverbs 16:18 tells us that pride comes before a fall.  Be used by God- humbly- not seeking man’s approval.

We serve a mighty God.  No matter what He asks of each of us, all glory, honor, and praise go to Him!  Be a Fisher of Men as the Lord instructs you in your world, dear Reader.  He will equip you as you seek Him, surrender to Him, trust Him, obey Him, and let Him be the King of Kings in everything you do.

Oh, friend, please be assured wherever you are- whatever the call- Jesus loves you so!

A Disciple of Jesus

John 1:40

The HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for the month of October - Andrew, A Disciple of Jesus.

Andrew, A Disciple of Jesus, is our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for the month of October.  He first was a disciple of John the Baptist.  Following along with the ministry of John the Baptist, Andrew observed as Jewish leaders inquired of his leader to explain who he was.

John 1:19-23 NIV

19 Now this was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders[c] in Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was.

20 He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Messiah.”

21 They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?”

He said, “I am not.”

“Are you the Prophet?”

He answered, “No.”

22 Finally they said, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”

23 John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’”

He was one listed in John 1:40 as being there and hearing John say these things.

John 1:35-40 NIV

35 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples.

36 When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

37 When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.

38 Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?”

They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?”

39 “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.”

So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon.

40 Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus.

What an intro to Jesus!  The leader this disciple had followed and listened to declared he was not the Messiah, but the one preparing the way for Him.  Suddenly, Andrew is among the few witnessing John the Baptist proclaiming, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

When a friend testifies of his experience with the Lord, it is quite remarkable.  Moreover, when a brother runs to his brother and cannot contain himself with the truth of what he knows of Jesus- this is beyond exceptional!  Same for any other sibling combination telling the other of Jesus. One of the first things our HUMAN of the Bible, Andrew, did once he realized Jesus was the Messiah was to find his brother.  Brother to brother, this human shared Jesus!

Andrew not only told his brother about Jesus, he did something even greater- he brought his brother to Jesus.  What an account of a triumphant moment, friend.

John 1:41-42 NIV

41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).

42 And he brought him to Jesus.

Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter[g]).

When Jesus met Andrew’s brother, He acknowledged him by his name, Simon.  However, Jesus saw him.  Then He declared who He said he was.  Jesus saw Andrew’s brother as “Cephas.”   We know “Cephas” translated to be, Peter.

Andrew was a fisherman along with his brother, Simon Peter.  It was during an occurrence when the two of them were fishing that the trajectory of their lives completely changed.

Matthew 4:18-20 NIV

18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.

19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

20 At once they left their nets and followed him.

Both Andrew and his brother, Peter, immediately followed Him.  It wouldn’t be long after that- Andrew would be known as a “Fisher of Men!”

In the month of October, we will discuss the following Weekly Themes:

  • Intro to Jesus

  • Brother to Brother

  • Follow Jesus

  • Fisher of Men

These are relevant topics for us to relate to Andrew through each Weekly Theme and Blog.  I encourage you to stop by for the Weekly Theme and Blog each week.   I hope you do and I pray you are blessed by every one, dear Reader.
