Loss.

Thirty-three years ago on April 17th, our lives were full of excitement, joy, and elation. My husband, Scott, and I had learned we were expecting our first baby …but on this day …we learned something else that would change the trajectory of our hearts and our lives.
The precious little one, whom we were enjoying getting to know and were full of anticipation to meet in months to come - was lost. The evidence was clear; I had experienced a miscarriage. Every April, my heart hurts - but I remember that God was with us. He allowed us to hold our baby in our hands that day. Approximately 10 weeks- we don’t know for sure if he was a boy, but it sure looked like a baseball hat would fit perfectly on that sweet little head. This adorable being who captured our hearts was now with The One we had been talking to him about since we found out he was a part of our lives.
The following week, as I was at home recovering from the miscarriage, I was very honest in my conversation with God. It hurt- it was disappointing- it was so sad- to know our baby died. I knew our baby was with Him, and I know I will hold him in Heaven one day, but I was heartbroken at the loss. As I talked with the Lord- I heard Him say to me, “Tammie, if you won’t be sad or depressed and you will trust Me, you will know by July that you are expecting again!”
I was given a promise from THE PROMISE!

Please continue to follow, as I will share the remainder of our testimony in the upcoming
June Encouraging Posts.
Have a blessed day ...Jesus loves you so.
