21 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:
22 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
This is a well-known scripture. Even crafted into a beautiful church hymn. A favorite of so many - including myself.
Faithful. A description and characteristic of our amazing God.
The faithfulness of God - when you consider His faithfulness to you, friend, are you like me and find yourself in awe? I pause sometimes and review the wonders of God. The times in my life of how He has shown up, when He has emerged, what the moment looked like when He did.
I have witnessed His hand at the very second I needed Him. There has also been delay before I have seen His answer. However, those experiences where it was so evident that He performed a miracle - whether in my time or in His - I was undone. Do you know what I mean with those instances in your life, your family's life, when you have observed what could only be Almighty God in your need - your prayer - your angst - your fear? There, God was in your midst with the provision, the protection, the peace that you longed for - you asked for - you desperately sought Him for. Here, at this place, you encountered ...a faithful God.
It is a point in your life where only what can be uttered from your lips is praise to The One you know as faithful. Your very heart erupts into worship for what you have endured and ultimately find yourself victorious, all because our amazing God was faithful to you.
I understand this for I have seen the wonderful works of God along my journey. It might not have always turned out the way I expected, the timing wasn't always when I wanted, more often than not - it has been beyond what I could have even imagined. What I have learned through these experiences is that in the middle of it all, Jesus was with me when I called to Him. I knew His peace when I welcomed Him in the storm. How great is our God.
BUT GOD. He was, is, and forever will be faithful to my family and to me …this I am assured!
If you have not called upon the name of the Lord and known Him in your walk of life, you can be confident of His faithfulness, too, friend. We are all human. We all have a story. We all need Jesus. We can know life’s storms, exciting moments, unexpected events, and even incredible victories. Our God is faithful in each occasion. He is with us in the not-so-good, as well as, the good.
In sharing our testimonies along with studying Jesus and His disciples, we gain so much. This allows us to apply what we've gleaned in our own world. We can journey together with the comfort that we are not alone. First, because Jesus is with us. Second, we all experience the same hurt and joy - they just look different. The wonderful thing about it all is that we serve a faithful God!
I hope you come along with me for the HUMAN of the Bible Reflection every month. Additionally, learn with me each week in the Weekly Theme and Blog as something specific is discovered for that particular month’s HUMAN. I pray you are blessed.
Stop by HUMAN Living Ministry anytime - I will meet you here. Remember, friend - we have a faithful God. Jesus loves you so.
Great message!
