For He Is Holy!

This is Holy Week.
That word …holy …do we even recognize it anymore? Does it mean to us what it once did? I’m sure for some of us the answer is an unshakable and resounding, “YES!” However, for the greater of all - whether the world, society, churches, or individuals - holy as we once viewed it - has been watered down. Might I also contend that the diminishing of the holiness of God, and who He is has also reduced the reverential fear of our amazing God?
Our God is holy. Scriptures offer proof of this as well as His instruction for us to be “holy even as He is holy.”
Psalm 99:9 KJV
Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.
I Peter 1:16 KJV
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Revelation 4:8 KJV
And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
While we look at this from where we are today, we see the falling away of faith for so many - whether it is young people or longtime Pastors in the pulpit. The reflection and opine of what once was with honor and praise to our holy God have drastically changed - even declined.
Friend, my heart is full for those who have not received the exact Truth of what Jesus did during this Holy Week, what we know as Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. I am declaring as clearly as I can with the voice I have to share the HOLINESS of our God.
Jesus came as a babe, grew in wisdom and stature, and taught in the synagogue. He then began His earthly ministry at the age of 30. After three years of giving, speaking, and healing - He sacrificed all for every one of us and our sins. First, He endured an unimaginable scourging and beating. Followed by carrying His Cross through the very crowd that He had ministered to and even changed lives with miracles He had performed. Finally - our blessed Savior was crucified on the old, rugged cross with a crown of thorns thrust upon His head. He took upon Him at The Cross our sins, sickness, and disease. During the three days between His death and resurrection, Jesus conquered death and hell!
Ephesians 4:9-10 KJV
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
Luke 2:1-7 Jesus’s birth
Luke 2:41-52 Jesus grew, Jesus at temple
Luke 4:1-11 The Beginning of Jesus’s Ministry
Luke 4:12-Luke 22:28 Jesus’s Ministry
Luke 22:39-24:53 From Gethsemane to The Resurrection
Really good!
