Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
‘Tis the season to focus on our Savior and His birth. Jesus is the reason for season.
December also finds us preparing for the new. It offers the opportunity for reflecting over the past year specifically. We ask many things of God at this time of year and with a new year approaching. One thing I do each year is ask the Lord for Scriptures, Songs, Statements from Him for my family- for me- in the next year. A repeating passage every time is this:
Psalm 139:23-24 NIV
23 Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
This is such a good Word to start the new year with, as well as, consistently refer to it. As we do, we can stay aware of what needs to be addressed and allow the Lord to correct it in us. We grow in Him in this way.
It is very good to pause and reflect, but I suggest to you- don’t stop, don’t stay there.
Ephesians 5:15-16 KJV
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Lean into Jesus and what is to come with Him. He alone is all we need, friend. He alone is worthy of our praise.
If I could encourage you in any way for 2026, it would be with the following Scriptures-
Isaiah 26:3 KJV
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Philippians 4:4 KJV
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
Deuteronomy 31:8 KJV
And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
I cannot express to you the power, peace, and poise that come with the presence of God. My prayer is that you seek Jesus and end 2025 strong and continue to trust Him in 2026. May you not just see the hand of God in your life but know Him in ways you could never have imagined, my friend.
I pray you and yours enjoy a very Merry Christmas as you celebrate the birth of our Savior. My prayer is that 2026 is beyond beautiful for you and those in your world because of God’s best.
Above all, be assured that Jesus loves you so!

Reason for the season!
