Human Living Ministry ... originated from
"Living Human" all of my life! Additionally, it was birthed through years of writing, but more importantly - years of prayer.
I desire to gently walk across someone's heart and step away having left a positive, life-changing impact with the writing and poetry God provides through me for His glory.

-
May the hurting know His love

OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF TAMMIE HUMAN BURGIN
Author and Writer

Have you ever known you needed to do something ...something you had never done before? If you've had a relationship with Jesus for even a short time, you know you've experienced this very thing. The Lord will ask us to do something that never crossed our minds. He will put this idea in our thoughts and it will become like a heartfelt reminder until we just step out in faith with Him and do it.
This is where I am right now. Never did I envision I would have a website. Never did I imagine I would create a website myself that would share my writings, poetry and offer an option to leave a prayer request for me to pray with strangers ...and friends alike. Well, here I am …obeying my Heavenly Father and doing all of the above.
Human beings have a commonality - no matter where we grew up, who we are or what dreams we have.
We are all human.

My family and I happen to have had the privilege of not only being human but actually living HUMAN …since it is our name! I always knew the Lord would have me do something creative and ministering with this amazing and beautiful name - for His glory. AND …what a fun name it has been to carry and grow up with. I will share more of the blast it has been as you experience this adventure with me.

I will learn as I go …I know He will teach me. Thank you for your prayers and patience with me as I toddle along as a newbie in this web arena. I am excited to share what the Lord is instructing me to in this internet excursion with each one of you.

A favorite Scripture of mine and very much referenced through my life is:

Proverbs 3:5, 6 -
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6) in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.

So, here I am. I find myself reaching for it even now …as I step out in faith …once again.

Welcome, my human friends! I look forward to this journey as it offers a place to be a unique part of the human family.

Let's gather together in this place of commonality ...as we all are ...living human./.

I will meet you here - at

I Peter 4:11
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.
To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

We see a consistent theme in the majority of our studies of the HUMAN of the Bible Reflections so far this year. The persistent thread throughout is the devotion, commitment, and tight friendship these disciples had with Jesus. Some had such a close relationship with Him that they were considered to be in His inner circle. This month’s HUMAN of the Bible Reflection - Thomas - was one that was a loyal friend to our Lord.
We learn this month that while being told of the illness of Lazarus - a friend of Jesus - the decision was made to return to Judaea. Previously, Jesus had been in danger there and the disciples questioned if they should go back.
John 11:6-8 NIV
6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days,
7 and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”
8 “But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?”
Then the dedicated disciple, Thomas, declared in
John 11:16 -
16 Then Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]) said to the rest of the disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”

Thomas vocalized his willingness to endure whatever came their way - should something of a threat be a part of their journey. He was a loyal friend.

This is a great example for us. We can learn so much from each disciple. This disciple - Thomas - teaches us what a loyal friend looks like. This might challenge us to pause and reflect on a few things. We might even ask ourselves these questions; “What kind of a friend are we?” “How committed are we to the friends God has placed in our life?” “Are we willing to listen, encourage, believe, support, pray, and help our God-given friends no matter the situation?” “How long will we invest in a friendship?” “When a friend reaches out - are we there, do we respond?” “Whether a friend is victorious or hurting - do we make ourselves available to them for the win or for the pain?”

Granted, there are those relationships that make it clear when it’s over. After effort is given - leaving them in God’s hands is all that can be done. Forcing the relationship is not the answer. Disappointment and confusion are all that are left when that is done. I pray the Lord gives you wisdom to know when to accept someone’s actions and be at peace with what was - moving forward with God and what is to come by His hand. He works all for our good and for His glory, dear Reader.

Humans are flawed. All we can do is be who we are and offer our best. Jesus is here to be the best friend we can ever have. He will help us be better in every aspect of our lives, including being a friend to Him and the friendships He provides to us. My prayer is that we seek Him for His friendship - first and foremost. Then allow Him to do what He wants to do, what we need Him to do, in each of us - guide us to be better, do better for His glory and for each other.

If you are praying for a friend or to be more committed in your relationships - I am praying with you. You are welcome to email me at thumanburgin@gmail.com or visit my Prayer Request page to submit a completed prayer request form. I will specifically pray with you, dear Reader.

A loyal friend. I pray you have these types of people in your life. I also pray you are this kind of friend to those that have been placed in your world by the hand of God. Even more, my prayer for you is that you know the loyalty in friendship with Jesus and you extend the same to Him.

If you don’t know this already - Jesus is all you need. He is the most faithful friend at all times. May you experience this with Jesus all the days of your life, I pray - for He is a loyal friend.
Blessings this day …Jesus loves you so!

Thomas

A Disciple of Jesus
John 11:16
Our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection for July is Thomas, A Disciple of Jesus.
What we will learn about this human, Thomas, is he was a very loyal friend of Jesus. His perspective might not have always been on the positive side, but he was indisputably devoted.
Jesus learned of the death of his dear friend, Lazarus.
John 11:6-8 NIV
6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days,
7 and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”
8 “But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?
Thomas gave input regarding the danger Jesus could be facing if they went back to Judaea. In John 11:16, it is clear that the friendship of Thomas and Jesus was steadfast and sincere -
16 Then Thomas (also known as Didymus[a]) said to the rest of the disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”
After Jesus died, many of the disciples gathered together. They awaited the resurrection of their Savior and believed He would rise from the dead - just as He said. In John 29:19, we see that Jesus appeared to the disciples after His death and resurrection.
John 29:19-20 NIV
19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”
20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
With Thomas not there, the disciples shared with him that they saw the Lord. Thomas had a response that some humans would, too. He doubted.
John 20:25 NIV
25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
There is no judgment toward this month’s HUMAN of the Bible Reflection - Thomas, A Disciple of Jesus. He was human. Haven’t we all struggled with doubt in our walk with God at some point? The most important thing is that we do not stay in doubt.
Jesus understands this, as well. One week after Jesus was with all the disciples except Thomas, they all were together once again and this time - including Thomas.
26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”
27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Jesus had a response regarding the doubt Thomas experienced, as well as, for all humans to come -
29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
The words that Jesus gave in John 20:29 for Thomas - and all of us - can sometimes be difficult. Believing without seeing takes a step of faith. Additionally, what we can learn from our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection - Thomas - is that being a loyal friend of God is vital for our life’s journey. For Thomas, he physically walked and talked with Jesus. We can walk and talk with Jesus - through prayer. Yes, we will know situations that challenge our belief, but when we are devoted to Jesus - we will be able to glean lessons from Him. We can do this by studying God’s Word, the Bible. This is another way of spending time with the Lord and growing our devoted friendship with Him just as our HUMAN of the Bible Reflection - Thomas, A Disciple of Jesus.
Something that developed from Thomas’s decision to doubt was a nickname. I’m sure you’ve heard of it - “Doubting Thomas!” You might have even been labeled it yourself at sometime along your path. Undeserved labels are a given to humans.
If you find doubt to be a problem for you or you’ve been given undeserved labels and you would like to request prayer - please do not hesitate to contact me. I will pray with you.
I can be reached via email me at thumanburgin@gmail.com or you can visit my Prayer Request page. There you can complete and submit a prayer request form.
Maybe you want to know Jesus as friend so you can walk and talk with Him. Should you be interested in more information about Jesus as your personal Savior - again you can email me or see my Invitation and Prayer page. Jesus is waiting to meet you and be Lord of your life. I am here to help you, if you need anything.
There are many things we have to discuss and learn from this month’s HUMAN of the Bible for July, Thomas - A Disciple of Jesus. I invite you to come along with me as we do and at the end of this month …I pray we are all better friends with Jesus, struggle less with doubt, and are no longer undeserved labeled humans.
Thank you for stopping by …I’m so glad you did. You’re welcome to stop anytime. I will meet you here at HUMAN Living Ministry!
My prayer for you is that you believe …Jesus loves you so!
