As we approach the season of Thanksgiving, I find myself thinking of the blessings in my life.

With the holidays nearing - beginning with Thanksgiving - it is an opportunity to reflect on the good and not-so-good along the way. There are warm and fuzzy memories to embrace and treasure. There are the heartfelt testimonies to share. There are the faces and names no longer with us to remember.

In many cases we encounter those occasions in life that challenge us. Even they are a part of the pause during these days to ponder. In some situations, the tough times are a great reveal. We are better people for all the experiences we come through together. No matter what, we can always thank God for being with us.

As this month is focused on THANKSGIVING, I stop and wander backward through the years. Smiles, tears, laughter - stories, singing, cheers - sports, games, events - traditions, legacies, family …each flood my mind. How blessed I am to have had so much. I count them in this moment as they fill my heart.

I am thankful for the now - looking forward to all that is to come.

Gratitude is just a word. Oh, how it covers so, so much more than I could ever express what I have to be grateful for. May this month, dear Reader, be a reminder of all you have enjoyed throughout your journey thus far.

I am thankful for much today …and that includes you! I pray you and yours know a peaceful and very Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
